This months updates
Security is always high priority at Microsoft, and even though they have recently gained worldwide accreditation for upholding the highest standards in Cloud Security, they are constantly evolving their security services. they are now in the process of releasing some additional security and compliance updates for Microsoft 365.
We explore four of these updates in more detail.
1: Email Safety Tips in Office 365
As hackers continue to develop different tactics, Microsoft has identified that putting messages into the Junk Email folder now offers very limited protection. Dangerous Phishing emails and potential malware attacks are often overlooked by email users and business are regularly put at risk. Email Safety Tips in Exchange Online Protection is soon to be rolled out, this feature provides a warning to users if a suspicious email is received or a reassurance message to when a message is safe. This security update will certainly help users stay safe from the recent Spear Phishing scams.
2: Office 365 Import Service
Importing data into Microsoft 365 will soon be much easier. Their latest update has expanded to new regions with additional capabilities which is going to be very useful.
3: Advanced Office 365 compliance for Yammer
Yammer has recently achieved several enhanced security and compliance standards, including ISO 27001 and SSAE 16. Microsoft have made available these independent compliance reports which allows Microsoft 365 Service Trust Portal users to perform their own regulatory risk assessments going forward.
